4 Steps To Improve Your Google Page Rank

Everyone would like to be on top of the Google page rank. After all, that is how you get more exposure and how you end up at the forefront of your customer’s minds. Yet, we can all see how the same pages get recommended over and over again, and sometimes it seems like the battle was lost even before it began. Do not give up though, because there are a few surefire ways to make sure you have a chance to at least raise up the ranks and end up on the first page of Google search.

However, before we reveal our tips and tricks for improving your Google page rank, we should make sure you do not end up having bigger dreams than you can achieve. Improving your ranking is influenced by a lot of things that are sometimes out of our control, such as the competition, the development of the website, our budget, and the SEO skills and knowledge we have. It is not a lost cause, but we have to stay realistic and admit that it will take at least a year, if not more to get your site up there.

But do not despair it is possible!

1. On-Page SEO is Essential

There are a lot of SEO improvements you can do to your old entries on the site if you have not yet paid attention to them, or if you have not started to improve the SEO on your website, it is high time you do it. Especially with all the updates that are always coming up for Google SEO. Now, even the character limit for meta descriptions has increased, so you can use that to make sure your keywords are more visible so you get more traffic onto your site, or implement a call to action that will incentivize the readers to click on your link.

SEO is an integral part of any website in this current day and age, so always being on top of the game when it comes to it is important to make sure your site is climbing up the Google ranks. Sometimes, the small changes, such as using more subheadings, changing up keywords with others that are more relevant, or even just introducing a power word and number in your title can bring up your SEO score tremendously.

2. Keep a Close Eye on Your Links

One thing is for sure: internal and external links count a lot when it comes to how Google sees your website. Especially the quantity and quality of them. There is a ton of debate going on about what the most appropriate number of links is, but one thing everyone agrees on is that they should be present, and they should be working. This means that you have to make sure all the links you have are working properly, aren’t broken, and if they are external links you have to make sure you are only linking trustworthy pages.

Google is going to judge how trustworthy your site is based on what you are linking onto it: if you have external links, then that counts as a vote of confidence. However, if the links are broken or they are not deemed trustworthy by the AI then you will lose points.

3. Do Not Forget Mobile Users

While some people said that mobile phones would not end up surviving for as long as it did, we all found ourselves using it more and more. That is why, no matter what type of business you have, you should make sure that the website is optimized for smaller screens: be it phones or tablets. If you do not make sure your content, product, or business, is accessible in any form, you can end up losing business, as you can never know when a potential client will find you.

A lot of users search on their phones for a quick answer or to check something, which is why Google chose an approach that puts mobile-first. If you update your website, make sure you have a mobile-friendly design that is responsive and easy to use in any circumstances or on any device.

4. Users Have Questions, You Should Have Answers

It has been proven that most people who search for information are more likely to write the question into the search engine. That’s why Google has picked up on the fact and as a result, they are pushing their Quick Answer Box. Pages on your website that answer questions in a detailed way which is found to be helpful for users are more likely to be featured by Google and thus increasing your rank.
